Motivation letter

• why participation in the CSP is important to you and your professional development,
• why you believe you are a suitable candidate for the CSP support considering its objectives,
• how CSP participation would make a difference in your EQE journey and support your progression,
• how do you plan your study time and structure your preparation for the examinations,
• how determined you are to pass the EQE exams within the typical CSP support period of 3 years, and
• your understanding of the effort required for multi‑year preparation and any foreseeable challenges.
The letter must confirm your commitment to a long-term career as a European patent attorney and should be signed.

I am aware that the CSP is a multi‑year support programme and, if selected, I will be expected to invest sustained effort in learning, intensive study, and systematic preparation for the EQE examinations over its duration.
All the data provided above are THE SAME as those provided to the Examination secretariat of the EPO via the EQC web portal. Any change has been communicated to the Secretariat.
I agree that the EPO may exchange relevant information regarding my participation in the CSP, with other external partners for the purpose of administering and delivering the programme (NPOs, training institutions, coaching, postal services, etc). External partners shall be bound by the same standard of data protection as the office.
