CPC Coverage Reports

Under this section you will see the number of simple patent families with your selected country code as a family member (first bubble), those classified in the CPC (second bubble) and those classified in the CPC by the selected CPC office (third bubble). In the graph below you will be able to view the evolution of the number of such families published every year. You will also see the number of families not classified in the CPC (grey curve).

The bar charts below show the CPC coverage per kind code. An alphabetical ranking is applied (A>B>C> … > U> …): under A you will find all patent families containing a family member from the selected country where there is an A document in the family. Under B are grouped all patent families containing a family member from the selected country where there is a B (but no A) document in the family.  Under C are grouped all patent families containing a family member from the selected country where there is a C (but neither an A nor a B) document in the family, and so on. This means that when families are present under the bar for a certain kind code, they are not already represented in bar charts for earlier kind codes. In other words, they are not overlapping with families identified in earlier kind codes.
