To improve security we are now enforcing the use of multiple factor authentication (MFA) on EPO accounts.
There are many options to verify your identity during the login dialog.
Please make sure you have more than one option enabled for MFA. This enables you to still access your account when something happens to your mobile phone.
Login on https://mysignins.microsoft.com/security-info to add new verification options. In order of recommendation:
- Passkeys, these are modern fingerprint, face-id or PIN protected keys stored on your laptop or phone.
Add "Passkey" without Authenticator. When prompted to scan a QR code click "change" to select the laptop or pc, when your system has this option available.
- Microsoft Authenticator, please enable backup of this app to Onedrive.
- General authenticator apps e.g. WinOTP or Google Authenticator, preferably with a backup option
Select Microsoft Authenticator and then "use different application"
- A mobile or landline phone number (voice call or sms text)
- An alternate email address (Only for password recovery)
Please note each option allows multiple devices. For example Microsoft Authenticator and Passkeys can be activated on two different phones.
If you encounter issues when enabling MFA, please first contact your local IT support. If the issue persists use the National Offices Support Portal or email [email protected].
